OUR PHILOSOPHY

The most enjoyable culinary experience finds its origins in a properly-stocked pantry. A few years ago, while working for luxury hotels in the heart of Vancouver, we began pondering about the best way to bring the finesse of elevated culinary experiences to the comfort of people’s homes.

With the aim of keeping it simple yet sophisticated, we scavenged through the depths of our kitchen to build unpretentious yet exquisite, memorable dishes. Over the years, we carried on building menus that told a story. It was through that journey of exploration that we began combining sustainable, properly-sourced ingredients to turn eating into something that evokes inspiration and satisfaction.

To US, EATING WELL IS NOT ONLY ABOUT USING fine ingredients, BUT ALSO bringing out the story that each element treasures in connection to a memory.

Recognizing that people today are busier than ever but still want to enjoy unique & contemporary culinary experiences, we now bring the formula that worked for us and share our pantry philosophy with every home.

OUR STORY

Raised in the heart of Latin America - Honduras - we discovered the joys of a diverse pantry and a well-equipped kitchen. As the youngest siblings in an Israeli family, we began helping Mama Lama in the kitchen at the prime age of 7 years old, making hummus and dolmades.

What began as pedestrian tasks like mixing ingredients in a bowl or chopping root vegetables, quickly evolved to baking pies and breads, to more complex dishes, like stews and Middle Eastern stuffed breads. A love for cooking had been born. Eventually taking care of all the cooking for the holidays, we knew that a professional path in culinary was only a matter of time.

Fast forward a few years, after having spent time living in Argentina, we immigrated to Canada and started cooking school. The former Art Institute of Vancouver would become the host of our formative years in the professional kitchen, where we learned to perfect cooking techniques as the foundation for our culinary career.

Combining the memories and affinity of the Latin & Middle Eastern cuisines that we grew up eating at home, with traditional European techniques, we embarked a journey of discovery and training, working for luxury hotels in Vancouver, as well as a few local restaurants and establishments, and later on as private chefs for local celebrities.

After years in a wide array of professional kitchens, we now want to share our childhood memories and the few other fancy dishes we picked up along our journey of discovery, with people who have an open heart and embrace culinary adventures, ready to try new experiences in the comfort of their own homes.
